Resident and Fellows in Training:
Presentation Opportunity

PCOGS proudly accepts manuscripts and poster submissions from students and residents in training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Annual Meeting.

Manuscript submissions will be judged for the Frank Lynch Memorial Essay, an oral presentation. Manuscripts only will be considered for the Frank Lynch Memorial Essay.  The winning author will receive a $500 award and will present the paper orally at the meeting.     

 

  • Abstract submissions will be judged for possible poster presentations through the Ted Adams Scholarship Award fund. 

  • The Top 6 winners will be given time for a 5 minute synopsis at the 2022 Annual Meeting.

  • The top resident/fellow poster presentation will be awarded the Charles Kimball Scholarship Award, $500, following the meeting.

   

All submission information should be submitted through the PCOGS website

 

Abstracts must be written in a structured format. The suggested format is: Objective, Study Design, Results, Conclusion. 12 Font, normal type case, and times new roman preferred.  (One page for Abstracts)  ALL submissions, manuscripts and abstracts, are expected to be prepared for submission for possible publication to the AJOG or journal of the author’s choice.

  

Residents who submit abstracts or manuscripts need not be PCOGS Fellows.  All senior residents and fellows in the West Region are invited to participate. 

 

  • Residents/fellows whose work is chosen for presentation are expected to attend the meeting to present their work. 

  • As guests of the Board of Directors, a stipend will be provided to cover travel and lodging expenses.

 

We are very interested in involving outstanding young physicians in our Society’s activities.  Please address any questions regarding these presentations to, Aaron Caughey, Editor of Scientific Proceedings.

Submissions must be original research.  Written, oral and poster presentations shall not have been previously published or submitted for publication.  If already presented at a regional or national meeting the Program Committee and the Editor of Scientific Proceedings may grant exceptions on a case by case basis.   Submissions are acceptable if the study was previously given only as a poster presentation.  In order to qualify for the Frank Lynch Award the submission shall not have been previously presented at a regional or national meeting. All manuscripts shall be submitted by the deadline established by the Program Committee and the Editor of Scientific Proceedings and approved by the President.
